Mrs. Lucy Perrow
I qualified with a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics at Leeds Metropolitan University in 2001, and went on to gain an MSc in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2009.

I have always been interested in the field of weight management and diabetes, and have worked in this area my entire career. I currently manage the Specialised Weight Management Service for Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH); A job I have held for 11 years. Within this role I see particularly complex obese patients who have tried all other weight loss techniques or I see them as part of the obesity pathway prior to being referred on for bariatric surgery. I work alongside and manage an MDT including dietitian, clinical psychologist, physiotherapist and consultant.

For the last 13 years I have been part of the committee for the BDA Obesity Specialised Group (formally DOM UK), where I have held the roles of Chair, PR officer and treasurer.

I was also a member of the guideline development group for CG189 Obesity Guideline for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), and was a member of the Quality Standards Advisory Committee for Obesity and Diabetes.

I am an official spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and The Association for the Study of Obesity (ASO), for which I have written for many newspapers, magazines and other media outlets, and have appeared on TV shows ‘How to Lose weight Well’ and ‘The Shutins’ and BBC radio.
